A captain who was the darling for all people just 4 months back by winning the most coveted World cup , portrayed to be a villain in the next . And the same set of players who brought India to No.1 position , viewed like a total losers who don't know to how to bat .
It is not only common people , but the former players , who knows the fact that one team can not win all matches they play . The pressure created in media over players especially over the Indian players are too much to bear i think .Lot of questions were raised over the combination of the team . Fitness level of players etc etc.
Yes losing the series , and the number one position is hurting every one I agree , but if it is the one who worry about this slump than any other it will be the players it self..
Just because we lost this series and number one position , does not mean every thing is over for our Indian team and the players particularly . If we perform well in the coming years then definitely we will regain our pride with out any doubt.
The same set of players like Shewagh , Gambir, Dhoni , Sachin, Laxman , Dravid won lot of matches for India not only in home turfs , but also in foreign soils also. For most decades our Indian players performance from the days of Gavaskar and prior to that to till date , in the foreign soil were not up to the mark , barring last 4 or 5 years.
Considering our foreign soil records this result is not at all going to worry us.Hope our players over come this difficult period very fast , and perform well in the coming days and bring back joy to all of us.
Congrats England team for their superb effort not only in this series , but for their recent year's performance also . Their steady and constant playing of good cricket brought them to the position now where they were.
Let us accept the defeat with grace and try to do well in future.
