Ricky Ponting achieved a rare feat in test cricket yesterday in the test match played in Galle Sri Lanka.
He became the first player in test cricket history , to play in 100 test wins.He achieved this mile stone in the on going test series between Sri Lanka and Australia .
Ponting aged 36 so far played 153 matches, who started his test cricket in the year 1995. So far he scored 12,411 runs and he is the third highest run scorer in test cricket history after Sachin Tendulkar , and Rahul Dravid who remain No1 and NO 2 respectively.
The list of players with most test wins belongs to Australians only. Shane Warne with 92 wins, Steve Waugh with 86 , Glen McGrath with 84,Adam Gilchrist with 73 , Mark Waugh with 72, and Mathew Hayden with 71 wins follow the list .
All these players have been Ponting's team mates at some stage.
Ponting was already Test cricket's most successful captain with 48 wins under his belt.
Congrats Ricky Ponting , who is one of Cricket's best players.
