In Tamil nadu of the 131 films screened last year , only 38 films were able to cross more than ten days . And 93 films not able to cross even ten days .

Gone are the days where most films crossed 100 days , and some ran for more than 200 days.

With crores and crores of rupees spent to produce films now a days , if the concerned people able to give good story then they can able to run the films for 100 days .

The other thing that affecting common man to go the cinema halls to watch movies is , the abnormal rates of tickets for watching movies.

Now a days money is spent not only in making films , but also for advertising the films also . Even after hectic advertisements films are not able to catch people's attention.

With most cinema halls turned in to shopping malls, the running halls are not able to sustain their business .

Can Tamil film industry able to regain it's glory ?

இந்த நூற்றாண்டின் மிக நீண்ட நேர சூரிய கிரகணம் நேற்று இந்தியா முழுவதும் தெரிந்தது. வானில் நிகழ்ந்த இந்த அதிசியம் நேற்று கங்கண சூரிய கிரகணமாக தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதும் சுமார் நான்கு மணி நேரத்துக்கு மேல் நடை பெற்ற நிகழ்வாகும் இது. அதிலும் சுமார் பத்து நிமிடத்துக்கு சூரியன் முழுவதும் மறைந்து , பகலிலேயே இரவு போல் காட்சி அளித்த நிகழ்வு நமது வாழ்நாளில் மறக்க முடியாத ஒரு நிகழ்வு அல்லவா. சூரியன் முழுவதும் மறைந்து ஒரு வட்ட வளையல் போல் காட்சியளித்த நிகழ்வை காண மீண்டும் நீண்ட காலம் காத்திருக்க வேண்டும் . பத்து நிமிடம் சூரியன் மறையும் கிரகணம் வானில் நிகழ்வது எப்போதோ ஒரு முறை நிகழும் . அந்த அறிய காட்சியை காண கொடுத்து வைத்த நாம் அனைவரும் பாக்கியசாலிகளே.

ஹைதி மக்களுக்கு அஞ்சலி

கடந்த மூன்று நாட்களில் நடந்த நிகழ்வுகளில் , ஹைதி தீவில் நிகழ்ந்த பூகம்பம் நமது வாழ்நாளில் மறக்க முடியாத நிகழ்வு. ஒரு லட்சத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட மக்களை பலி வாங்கியுள்ள நில நடுக்கம் இது . ஏற்கனவே ஏழ்மையான அந்த தீவு மக்களுக்கு இந்த நில நடுக்கம் மிகவும் ஆற்ற முடியாத சோக வடுக்களை விட்டு சென்றுள்ளது . உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள நல்ல மனித உள்ளங்களோடு ஹைதி தீவு மக்களுக்காக நாமும் பிரார்த்திப்போம். இயற்கையின் சீற்றங்கள் நமக்கு உணர்த்தும் பாடங்களை உணர்ந்து இனி வரும் காலங்களில் நம்மால் இயன்ற வரையில் நமது பூமி தாயை காக்கும் வழிமுறைகளை கண்டுபிடிப்போம். சுனாமி மற்றும் மற்ற இயற்கை சீரழிவுகள் நமது மனித குலத்தை தாக்கா வண்ணம் இறைவனை வேண்டுவோம்.

தை மாதம் ஒன்றாம் தேதி முதல் ஆதவன் வடக்கு நோக்கி பயணம் செய்வதால் இதனை உத்தராயண புண்ணிய காலம் என்றும் அழைப்பர்.

நமது அனைவரின் வாழ்வும் சிறக்க , சூரிய கடவுளை அனைவரும் பொங்கலிட்டு வணங்குவோம். நமது பசி பிணி அகற்றும் உழவர்களையும் , உழவுக்கு உறுதுணை செய்யும் மாடு போன்ற விலங்குகளுக்கும் நமது நன்றியை இந்த பண்டிகை மூலம் தெரிவிப்போம்.
